So I went to my wal mart friday night (11/03) and they had a bunch of the 20th ann. TFTM DVDs on the shelves in the toy section. Of course I snatched one up. I then learned that it wasnt officially being released until 11/07. Did anyone else luck out and get a copy early?

Okay, the details from what Ive seen thusfar:
- The movie has been remastered. They touched up the colors ALOT. Its alot brighter. What I found the most noticible is the first scene on Earth. The coloring on Hot Rod and Kup especially.
- Both widescreen and fullscreen versions of the movie are available on disc one and two respectively.
- The sound has been remastered in 5.1 surround
- The swearing is NOT edited! Spike still says "Oh Blot, what are we gonna do now?". :thumb
- There are two audio commentary tracks: One with Nelson Shin, Flint Dille, and Susan Blu - the creator commentary, and a fan commentary by the webmasters of TFW2005.com and I believe spacebridge.com (?).
- There is a feature called the autobot matrix of knowledge. By activating it, you can watch the movie with little tidbits of trivia popping up on the screen every once in a while (ala VH1s pop up video).
- The so-called "sneak peak" of the live-action movie, which is alot of what is already accessible online. The interview with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. Plus the movie teaser.
- They included the episode of Scramble City, but it is voiced over with fan commentary.
- THe original theatrical trailer and TV spots are included. SHows a couple of things not in the final cut of the movie (different shots of Autobot City in defense mode, and Ultra Magnus in his original diaclone colors).
- Both Japanese and American toy commercials on disc two.
- On the back of the DVD case it says there are Easter Eggs, but I havent had the chance to find any yet.
- bought it for 15.87 (I believe). Under 16 dollars anyway.
I have the older copy of the movie on DVD, and comparing the two, I'm happier with the 20th anniversary edition. There are alot more bonus features, which I enjoy, and the movie itself looks and sounds VASTLY better. Hope that answers anyones questions. I recommend picking yourselves up a copy!

Sweet. Thanks for the info! The other reviews I've read didn't list the price or tell us if Spike curses again. I can't wait to retire my old rhino vhs version.

So is the "full screen" version cut down from the letterbox cut?
